
Where: Colonial Bank Parking Lot (next door to Mt. Brook YMCA).
For the runner who wants to run/train faster to accomplish either running at a faster pace or achieving PR’s (personal best) in races from 5K to the marathon.
This program will last 4 weeks (through March) as in intro to running faster through speed work (anaerobic threshold – AT) interval training.
We will include workouts for specific race goals (i.e. 5K/10K/Marathon), how fast to run intervals (i.e. target times for each interval), types of intervals (intervals and ladders), terminology and discussion of tempo runs and fartlek.
Please bring towel and water – we will use practical application, a gradual build up and interval workouts.
Each session will include discussion, warm up, work out, and cool down.
