What a busy track weekend! The BTC hosted the USATF Southeast Masters Regional Championships as well as a mini-track meet. The weekend started off wet, but everything had dried out in time for the mini track meet. We had outstanding efforts by all of the kids including many who set personal bests in various events, Megan Ross 400m, 100m & long jump; Ruthie Wofford 100m & long jump; Mary Davis Wofford in the 100m & long jump; and Peyton Ross in the 100 m. I would like to thank Wallace McRoy, Gordon Seifert, Tom Krebes, Ed Wofford, Frank Newlander, Dave DeMedicis, and Cara Ross for their help during the meet. The help of these individuals enabled everyone to have a good time. We would like to welcome and thank the Holland family (Lynn & Tina and their daughters, Natalie & Maria) for making the trip from Tupelo, MS to participate in our meet. Natalie and Maria appear to have talent and a love for track & field. Other talented newcomers included Ben Smolin, who competed in hiking boots, Hays Ragsdale, & Walter Hall. Our next meet is July 8th at 4:00 pm at Samford University.
