The Mayor's Office in Maebashi, Japan and its Running Club is inviting a Birmingham Track Club Team to participate in their 2012 City Marathon, scheduled for Saturday, April 21st. The Marathon in Japan is actually the distance of a HALF marathon in the US. There is also a 10km race option available. As many of you may recall, the 2011 team did not get to go because the race was cancelled due to the Tsunami that hit Japan that year.
