About the Race:
Join us on Saturday, October 17 for three trail races at Oak Mountain State Park. This race is Free to all BTC members and you must be a member to enter. There will be three race distances.  The short race will be about 4 miles with gentle hills and no technical terrain except, perhaps, the 100 ft. section of trail going up the dam on the Yellow Trail.  The Middle distance race will be about 7 miles with a long and climb to the top of Double Oak Mountain before returning to the Finish.  The Long option will be about 14 miles and will be two loops of the 7 mile loop. 

Aid Stations:  
Long Course:  There will be two aid stations on the 14 mile course.  The is a Water Only aid station at the North Trail Head, 2 miles from the finish. There is also a full aid station at the start finish and end of the first 7 mile loop.

Middle Distance Course: There will be only one aid station on course, a Water Only aid station located at the North Trailhead 2 miles from the finish.

Short Course:  There is no an aid station on the Short Course except at the finish.

Awards and Prizes:
The first 200 registered runners will receive race shirts from Mountain High Outfitters. 
  14 Mile Race: We will give 10 year age group awards and overall awards for the first 3 male and female finishers.  
   7 Mile Race: We will give overall awards for the first 3 male and female finishers.
   4 Miles Race: We will give overall awards for the first 3 male and female finishers.

Following the race there will be a cookout with burgers, veggie burgers and hot dogs and all the "fixin's."  We will also have the usual post ultra trail race refreshments on Ice, so plan on hanging around a while.  This race is technically not part of the Southeastern Trail Series but participants will earn points that will be applied to the series. There will be awards for the top three male and female runners in each race.  We will be giving away two $50 Salomon Gift Certificates, one each to two runners entered in the race.
